Youko and Inari both have dated art for their profiles and the personality "foxgirl"

It's pretty easy to see Daji or a lot of OCs as a Youko, and Ran is the paragon of Inari-kitsune (even if in her own lore she's the puppet of a demon and not Inari)

KC has repeatedly mentioned and demonstrated that the encyclopedia profiles are just an average or single example. Given that Koyoi doesn't follow the encyclopedia art very closely, why should any given foxgirl?

And since they're such a stupidly popular variant of animal girls and have so many good doujin, it's easy to just grab an example from one of those.
