An entertainment agency being sued for actions that led to an idol taking her own life, has counter-sued the family for defamation. They claim Honoka Omoto (16), of Enoha Girls, was not subjected to excessive work, and dispute alleged threats & comments.
They claim a message with an emoticon sent to the idol saying “If you say that you fell asleep again, you will be seriously hit” was merely a message of encouragement between good friends, and debate the meaning of an apparent threat to make her pay 100 Million Yen if she quit because they want to be kpop too.
