Because good looking guys better off doing mainstream acting or join host club instead of doing AV with terrible pay, tiresome work, and heavy social stigma. Even someone as established as Shimiken had a hard time finding apartment landlord that willing to accept him. A beginner would be lucky if his pay can cover train trip home.
