I got the unlinking ending in my first playthrough, sort of as a way to link to my English AnS playthrough. Watching the ending in english was nice, if a bit painful.

The memories are, in fact, the opposite of comfy, but after coming out of 夢の世界, Ion is always there waiting, and you can discuss what happened, and it's ok. [Spoiler] Which is what makes the end of chapter 7 so soul crushingly bad. [/Spoiler] That solid 3ish days is the only part of Ciel that i would truly discribe as not comfy.
