I was going to get this game but I am a bit confused about what I should do now.
I live in europe and I was thinking of getting the european version. But I don't really care about regional stuff at all and I could very well consider importing an american copy. The thing is that the european version will be more updated and will include more characters (two I believe) but these characters will be added as downloadable content for the US release anyway (But I don't know if it will be free).
And then there is the fact that the sequel is already under production and now I don't really know what to do.

Will everything that will be added (bgm, stages, characters) to the european version be available as downloadable content?
Will the european add ons be free as downloadable content for the US release?
And how is the story? Is it as "none-existant" as the one from the guilty gear series were all of the story was basically side material you could find in the booklets and such? Because I am wondering if there will be anything good about having the prequel when the sequel is released.

Import US release and then be screwed when it turns out that not everything was amde available and it turns out that the DLC cost money.
Wait and buy the European release and then be screwed when it turns out that everything was made available for free as DLC.
Buy either the US or the EU release and then be screwed over when it turns out that the sequel is superior in every way.
