I actually had a much easier go of it as Nero instead of Dante. The Devil Bringer and sword revving were just a lot easier to integrate into combos than flipping through a dozen weapons and four stances mid-combat.

Granted, DMC4 was the only Devil May Cry game I've played, so take that for what you will.
