Not sure what the status on the disconnect issues is, but I seem to have an easy way to prevent the disconnects (looks too easy, but works fine for me).
I could play with this fine from work earlier and since coming home earlier now without any problems. Feedback and testing welcome.

It's pretty similar to the old API link thing. You need a VPN/Proxy for the initial connection and capture the HTTP traffic to get a link with something like Chrome developer tools, Firefox HTTPFox extension, fiddler, wireshark, tcpdump (won't work on a VPN obviously) or whatever floats your boat.

So shortly after starting the game through
http://www.dmm.com/netgame/social/application/-/detail/=/app_id=854854
You will see a link that looks like this:
http://osapi.dmm.com/gadgets/ifr?synd=dmm&container=dmm&owner=XXXXXXX&viewer=XXXXXXX&aid=XXXXXXX&mid=XXXXXXX&country=jp&lang=ja&view=canvas&parent=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.dmm.com%2Fnetgame%2Fsocial%2F&url=http%3A%2F%2F203.104.105.167%2Fgadget.xml&st=[fucking long ID]

Copy that link, close the game browser tab and disable the VPN/Proxy.
Now you should be able to open the link in your browser and start the game normally. Sessions will be refreshed with makeRequest?refresh=[...] requests as usual.

Also here's a short guide on how to configure your VPN to only route traffic to DMM networks through the VPN, while leaving any other traffic untouched and routed through your normal connection:
http://pastebin.com/raw.php?i=q8cY3LT3
(You can probably completely disable the VPN after starting too)
