Yes, you need some way to extract browser cookies. Which can be done with the extension just called "cookies.txt".
Install that, sign into youtube then on the front page click the extension and save the cookies from "this tab", if you want to be doubly sure you can go to the member video itself and save the cookies from that tab, but either should work.
Once you have that cookies.txt file, put that into your youtube-dl folder and just add this expression to your config or command line.

--cookies /[Whatever your mpv/youtube-dl folder is called]/cookies.txt
