Not really no, they're nearly complete opposites or at the very least distinct enough in a lot of aspects.

Lyrical themes, the actual music, their fashion, the lore, how seriously they take themselves, social media, their target demographic, etc.

Yeah they're more pop than metal, and they're also nor trying to be a metal band, they're an idol group that plays idol fests.

Also the big guy who runs the group makes absolutely no effort to try and build lore or anything, he has the girls post pictures of themselves from rehearsals and from school so it's nothing like Koba's Babymetalverse where they're pretending to be holy warriors chosen by god that can't be seen offstage.

Also their second album is much more pop

Yuzu already has a mature voice, if you downloaded the album just head into the second verse of Honyara Company.

But yeah Karin still sounds like an Anime character, but Emi's voice is almost perfect. It's too bad that their voices always end up overmixed in one big blur so you just hear the highest pitch.

Not really, I don't know, I didn't even listen to most of those because they're just 15-second clips. Either they'll get me too hyped up, or they're going to give me a wrong impression. I'd like to go into the new album as blind as possible, despite half the tracks already being re-releases or leaked or already released or found on the live Blu Rays.
