That would probably be because of Erika being too paranoid. Considering Battler somewhat follows in his father's footsteps, she wouldn't be able to handle him even being around other women, as she'd probably think he was eyeing them every time.
I don't think Erika would be very good in most relationships to be fair. She'd probably be best in those ones you only see with yanderes, where the guy has no opportunity to look interested in anyone else.
