No, can't say I've had this argument on /jp/.

But in general, it doesn't appeal to me at all. Not that every picture needs to be super happy fun joytime sexy adventures or something, but stuff about a character just suffering, especially in ways that are necessarily directly relevant or meaningful to the character (So Mokou mourning the loss of someone significantly less immortal is fine, some slight gore in fighting Kaguya is mostly fine, random guro/tentacle porn/whatever isn't) just isn't something I find any real enjoyment or meaning in.
