So to sum up Touhou's story for pretty much every game...

Some weird evil shows up in Gensokyo and Reimu, being the lonely shrine maiden she is, decides to play the "Mario/Link" character and save the world yet again. If you play Marisa, she's just an evil witch and wants some free money. She goes around playing detective to find out who's behind it. Each person she meets gets sort of miffed that she would suspect them, and so they have to have a fight about it. Eventually, Reimu gets to the bottom of who's behind the evil, and they have a world-shattering fight. Then they have a good laugh about it and drink some tea under some cherry blossoms.

So there you go.
