If all of Satoko's and Rika's bond is perfectly platonic and "normal" why couldn't we get Rei Satoko going on about her beloved Rika being in town?

Even from the Rika side in Rei you have Satoko going from the closest person to her in the OG VN (something she even told to Hanyuu, who is basically her real mother figure) to as much worth of a mention as Mion and Rena when she thinks about the club.

Fact is, they'd never write them like that in a context where they have romantic relationships with other characters.
