You didn't correct me, you just came in here and threw arround this absurd claims that "Marisa shouldn't have any power because she's dangerous" and "Marisa doesn't understand fucking jack shit", which just implies to me that you have no understanding of the character.
Look at when Kosuzu went missing. She arrives at the same fucking conclusion as Reimu, just through good old detective work as opposed to "I can sense the plot" powers like Reimu. Marisa has a perfectly valid reason for being able to find and resolve incidents, she wouldn't be a major character otherwise.
Hell, we know that she's resolved at least one incident. It's just a shame that the UFO incident was just a huge fucking waste of everyone's time.
And just look at pretty much any time Marisa muses over the nature of Gensokyo or the SC rules. She clearly has a decent understanding of the nature and rules of Gensokyo, even if she doesn't fully comprehend the whole "basically human cattle" thing.
And she doesn't just do things for fun and power, what is this PC98? She's shown other sides of her personality, anon, she isn't just some power hungry witch, she's capable of at least a smidgen of fucking ethical decision making, and has even done things out of a sense of altruism in the past.
She's a youkai hunter and incident resolver by trade anon, she's not stupid.

That seems unlikely to me. If she were to use it as often as you claim that she does, she'd have no need for alternative sources of magical power. However, as it is, there are clear canonical sources which state that she does, in fact, have other sources from which she draws magical power. For instance, she often creates brews with the mushrooms that she collects from the forest to supplement and enhance her magical abilities. This sort of practice would be pointless if all of her magic stemmed from the Mini-Hakkero.
And that, of course, is not mentioning the various brews that she's seen utilizing her in various attacks.
I will not deny that Marisa uses the Mini-Hakkero a lot. She obviously would, as it's easily the most powerful tool that she has to her disposal. However, that doesn't make it her only option for casting magic, and DDC shows that she certainly doesn't need it to resolve incidents. In fact, we have seen her kill youkai and perform some impressive magic without whipping it out.
And of course her broom wouldn't get possessed, she doesn't actually use it for anything. canonically, she can fly just fine without it, which implies that it's mostly just there for show.
