Nah, Lambda has nothing to do with that scene at all. The Takano dialogue referenced in Memoirs is from later on, when Takano decides to carry on Hifumi's dream. Note that the scene in Memoirs even happens in a classroom.

Either way, Gou/Sotsu made even that almost confirmed bit look questionable.

>So then who granted Takano her wish?
No one? The whole point of Takano vs Hanyuu was her attempting to cut the whims of fate and control destiny with her efforts, without relying on anyone. I always disliked the implication of the Lambda stuff because it goes completely against the meaning of the "I will become god" scene from Higurashi.

That's just a random Takano from a random fragment, not the Takano that first killed Rika or anything like that.

>I won't entrust the die to God. I won't give in to luck.
>The only people who pray for God are the ones who don't want to work hard.
>I don't trust God. I will create results myself.
>My strong will is going to create a certain future that God can't possibly prevent.

Really, the Umineko scene just always was odd when put alongside that. "I don't trust god... BUT I trust witches, plz give me a vote of confidence!"

Even if you see the whole scene as metaphorical, she's just very OoC.
