To be fair, you have to have a very high IQ to understand Umineko. The mistery is extremely subtle, and without a solid grasp of theoretical physics most of the riddles will go over a typical reader´s head. There's also Beatrice´s nihilistic outlook, which is deftly woven into her characterisation - her personal philosophy draws heavily from Jungian philosophy for instance. The fans understand this stuff; they have the intellectual capacity to truly appreciate the depths of the fantasy scenes, to realize that they're not just weeb shit- they say something deep about LIFE. As a consequence people who hate Umineko truly ARE idiots- of course they wouldn't appreciate, for instance, the hidden depth in Battler´s existencial catchphrase "It´s useless. It´s all useless!," which itself is a cryptic reference to Higurashi no Naku Koro Ni, I'm smirking right now just imagining one of those addlepated simpletons scratching their heads in confusion as Ryushiki´s genius unfolds itself on their computers screens. What fools... how I pity them. And yes by the way, I do have a One Wing Crest tatoo. And no, you cannot see it. It's for the witches eyes only- And even they have to demonstrate that they solved the epitaph (preferably before chapter 6) beforehand.
