I mean, you've been partially spoiled by reading that, but yeah. Again, it's a 2-3 volume arc that starts 1/3 through the series, not the focus of the story. But it kinda sets up why Koutarou is so important and why the factions are the way they are.
If you want other interesting, but not spoiler, bits, there's actually quite a few sections with special operators operating.
