With a wave of her hand a parade of gaps stormed toward the two and surrounded them from all directions, from above, and below, like a cage it encircled the two with no chance to escape. And then, it dissolved. The ribbons that curtailed the end of each gap frayed and was cast to the winds, the voids themselves did not close, instead they flickered into nothingness, like a jagged wave crashing against the shore. A strange whistling sound could be heard as air flew erratically around the room, filling cavities of atmosphere that had suddenly appeared.

That shouldn't be possible! I'd seen them flip gaps from 'open' to 'closed' before, but it had Goro coughing up blood when they tried to do it over and over again, yet, Goro stood in the same place, totally unharmed, with Seija, who'd leapt in front of him and posed as if she'd cut through all the boundaries with her nails alone, smiling, but not as wide as I'd seen her smile before. Had they done something differently? The gaps themselves were almost impossible to attack, but maybe they had found a weakness? Something that didn't require them to attack it head on?

"I must admit, this surpasses my expectations." Yukari-Sama said, rising from her seat and lifting a hand, dissapearing her desk into a gap as she did.

She began to approach the two. "To turn over existence is quite a feat, but they're many such powers in Gensokyo. Such power, but so little creativity." Yuakri-Sama said, lifting her umbrella to Seija's bow. "Quite underhanded of you to turn over the two spaces that defined my gaps, a border can't exist without one of it's sides after all."

Of course! The Gap can't really be hit because it isn't a thing, but it's a border between two things! And if you can remove one of those things, then there isn't a border at all!

"Not that other's haven't tried before, Okina, Kasen, a few Youkai Hunters, people more experienced then you two, and maybe that's it, 'two of you'." Yukari-Sama said affectionately, now pointing her parasol toward the sigils on Goro's robe. "What a strange intimacy you two have, even though I off-board many calculations to my Ran, I'd never try something so prone to error as a bi-directional feedback system, yet, I could only detect marginal errors in you neutralization solutions, perhaps buying the both of you an extra second or two before being overwhelmed." Yukar-Sama praised.

"Seconds..." Flan whispered. "That's not a a lot right?"

"Ran-San told me it's the difference between life and death for a working Shikigami." I whispered back. A lot can happen in a second.

"We wouldn't be worthy of the uniform if it was only that." Goro said, placing something on the parasol.

With a quizzical expression, Yukari flicked her parasol and bounced the object into her hand. It was a red ribbon with barely visible black lace, the choker Yuakri-Sama was wearing when they walked into the room, but was no longer wearing now.

Yukari-Sama walked two paces back and tapped the parasol lightly on the floor, from which a small tea table rose from the void in between the two with three seats.

"Tell me everything." She commanded, with a gleeful smile.
