All this curse talk kind of loses impact with Satoshi walking around and it not being acknowledged.
You could argue none of the kids(maybe Sakiko?), Marutake or the polaris people would know about it, and that it's probably kept under wraps to protect people involved, like Irie or Satoshi himself. But it'd be nice if it was at least brought up at some point.
