I'll give the HDD loading a try anyways. I just bit the bullet and picked up a fat PS2 last week so I could do HDD loading instead of Network loading because don't worry, it's still a huge crock of shit for everything. Just an example, I tried to play DMC3, and the first cutscene stuttered so hard, by the time the demons showed up in Dante's shop, the cutscene was 12 seconds desynced from the controller vibration.
