What does this all mean?

My theory is that Ciconia will deal in some way with the 5th dimension/metaverse where Hanyuu's clan originally came from and where the Umineko meta takes place.

Okonogi was like 50 in Umineko and he became rich as fuck thanks to the Ushiromiya assets, so he was able to survive far into the future thanks to super expensive artificial organs and robotic implants that only the super rich could afford in 2030. His lifespan was prolonged and he lived long enough for scientists to develop a cure for aging (aging is already considered a potentially curable disease IRL). He was able to afford that miraculous cure too and is still alive far into the future, with parts of his body artificially reconstructed like an android.

Somehow, he gets involved in illuminati shit thanks to his vast wealth that he made sure to keep increasing over the decades. And he ends up taking part in a government project based on future discoveries about quantum physics and the existence of alternate realities that can be visualized from a higher dimension.

The futuristic technology in Ciconia has already been shown in the trailers, but I bet there are all sorts of crazy futuristic machines capable of tapping into the 5th dimension where the witches live. THIS is how Lambda and Bern, as metaphysical beings (that only called themselves witches in Umineko to fit in Beatrice's world), get involved in the story.

Maybe everything that happened with the Okonogi in Higurashi and the Okonogi in Umineko was part of the third Okonogi's plan. The Ciconia Okonogi from the future, who tapped into the multiverse and caused all of that to happen using his alternate universe incarnations. And his knowledge from the Higurashi universe allowed him to recreate a virtual projection of Takano that acts exactly like the original person. Or maybe it's an android based on her appearance.

Okonogi's plans are never made totally clear in Higurashi or Umineko. In both stories, Okonogi seemed to be in for the money and had some great plan in mind. Maybe his upbringing was better in Umineko and that's why he's less of a bastard. Or MAYBE he's being controlled by his alternate universe version from the future using some weird technology that lets people project their minds into their other selves from across the multiverse.

Seriously. I refuse to believe Okonogi didn't have bigger plans in both universes. I also refuse to believe he and Takano are just expies in Ciconia. They are the same fucking people.

Maybe Ciconia Okonogi is not Umineko Okonogi with an extended lifespan, and os simply a different Okonogi who needed the events of Umineko and Higurashi to happen to achieve some goal in his own world.
