Hey guys, someone recommended I post in this thread, wondering if anyone can help me out!

A few years ago I watched a Japanese live action film. I would estimate it to have been made in the early '00s. I can only remember a few things about it. I think it was set in a dystopian future, with a government conduction bioengineering experiments in these dark/red basements, with vats of sludge. There were some evil guys that had a base in a church in some snowy mountains. And there were battles in the snow between these powerful guys, I think they had extra powers, but not really superheros. As I recall it looked like it had a decent budget. Definitely not a super fake-looking cheesy type film.

That's all I can remember. Does this ring any bells with anyone?
