I've seen this happen to quite a few ladies in the industry, and my main bet is that since they aren't the most popular gravure idols around, they don't get much work to do (won't be featured at the cover of a famous magazine for instance), so their need to look at their top shape isn't that important for their managers. If popular idols like Mai Nishida, Saaya Irie and Rui Kiriyama can get away with weight gain, so will lesser known girls like Aya Umeda, Runa Amamiya and Kaori Hisamatsu (pic related).

Then again, Ai Shinozaki was popular since the very beginning and she was quite chubby back then. I don't know shit, just here for the fat tits.
