On the one hand I don't blame someone being keenly aware of being last place of her gen, despite overall being a very successful Holo. It's easier to say "pfft numbers don't really matter anyway" if you're not noted as being last place, mentally you think of yourself as "well I can't be doing THAT bad since at least I'm where I am." When you're last, there is no escaping it.

On the other you don't really see moping from Flare, Towa, Nene etc either. Nene is a little ball of sunshine despite being far behind and that makes her much nicer/more pleasant. You want people to think "man it's a shame, why don't more people like her" instead of start to realize ".. you know what, I think I see why people aren't into her." With Towa it's her yab+voice, Luna is really niche with what she does etc but Kiara's is just more an attitude/insecurity thing. I mean people constantly say that doesn't matter to them and she has plenty of fans here and elsewhere, and I personally don't even find it ultra-offensive because tons of holos numberfag - it's just, well, if you're looking for an explanation as to why she is where she is, that's part of it. The other part is IMO her fucking retarded outfit and her early tech problems (mic, streams constantly botched etc) getting off on the wrong foot.

Really it's best when they just don't give a fuck about the numbers like Ame or Ina, it makes them feel a lot more respectable as people. Gura outright tries to suppress bringing any attention to it which is a blessing, man imagine if that was Kiara with a mil+ how much she would rub herself out in front of everyone about it.
