Think the first Godslayer I ever saw was a Golem Gunner that used a mount. Although his class was Gunner he picked up casting and killed the gods with spells. After that I recall two Fairy Wizards. One of them being named Torte Shortbread that was aiming to become a godslayer. Killed the gods with magic storm I think and I learned a lot from that player about how to build a character that could kill the gods.

My previous character was a Eulderna Gunner and he killed most of the gods with magic storm like Torte Shortbread but against Lulwy and Kumiromi I killed them using the N97 Cannon. Both Kumiromi and Lulwy cause insanity and I wasn't prepared at the time to deal with it so my casting was crippled in those fights. I eventually retired that character and he had a son which shared his father's name of Kai. Wanted to test out martial arts since at that time nobody got far as one so I made a Eulderna Predator. Eulderna solved my healing and range problems with spells and Predator is the traditional martial arts class.

As I was working on my new character I remember at least two other Godslayers that emerged. I don't remember the race but one of them was a dual wielding warrior that took out the gods with swords. The other Godslayer was a Yerles Warmage that took out the gods using meteor. Eventually my current character Kai killed the gods only using his fists. Magic would only be used for buffs and healing.

So so far there has been at least 6 Godslayers that have participated in these threads. Most of them soloed the game or didn't take up pets until really late in the game. Only the Golem player used a mount. A lot of them used spells. In the past, spells were far more understood than melee in how to squeeze out damage. Magic is tried and true but now that melee is better understood, especially the part on how to do multiple attacks, I think it shouldn't be too surprising to see more melee characters killing gods in the future. The verdict on how magic device, throwing, and maybe other experimental builds do against gods is still out though.
