I had the same line of thought, I was sure the kamicha was in tenpai for 5-8m, played it safe and dealt the 2m. Could have had a haneman if I shot for the riichi sanshoku.

Then again, maybe the kamicha would have called kan on the 8m and changed the draw order. Still managed to win the game in the end, though, so I'm not too upset.
