>I've been reading some threads from 2010, around the release of Episode 7. Were any of you here at that time? Why was everyone so pissed with everything? I've finished Episode 7 recently and I'm gonna start 8 around next month and I'm already pretty satisfied. All of the answers are more or less what I expected and predicted and it doesn't sound too ridiculous (in comparison to Higurashi at least). From what I read, it seems people just didn't understand Will's answers and were pissed because of Yasu. I agree that I don't really like Shannon, however saying the whole thing was dumb is a stretch to me. It seems natural to me why s/he would plan the murders, considering her/his past and her/his perspectives for the future.
Most people understood Will's answers, especially back then because the Internet already noticed that Kanon and Shannon never appeared together. "Shkanon" was never hard to figure.

The biggest issue was the motive, "Why did Battler forgive this chick who could have made a phone call instead of murdering his family".

I understand what R07 was trying to do, but I think the execution was really sloppy in some parts and required some logic jumps from the audience without any way to check if their answers were "Right". For that reason I think ep. 8 Manga, even without "Our Confession" was a decent finale to the series, even if just for the scenes between Ange and Beatrice and the more meaningful magic fights (Especially Battler vs Erika).

Would Umineko have been received better if Ep. 8 had been like the manga?

>It's Battler's fault that she ended up in such a situation.
It isn't. It's all her fault. She even says that in red.

Ultimately, Yasu's fate was of her own making. If she had told George the truth for example, he would have accepted her and took her away from the island. If she had sent Battler a letter or tried to reach him, she would solved a lot of her problems.

But she never did, she was always the passive one.

It isn't. It's all her fault. She even says hat in red.

Not even canon with the novel cg, in which beato's tits are covered.

I mean, in the golden land beato has breast because in the Golden Land everything is possible, but canonically she's flat as a boy.

At least she had the decency to admit it was her fault in the manga.
