She smelled funny. My kitchen had a sweet and alcoholic scent flowing around with a thin mist that started to form inside the house.
"Say, Ibuki, this is also a guest house. Would you like to spend the night?" I asked, risking to sound ridiculous with all that sunlight through the window.
"Prepare my bath, then!"
"Eh?"
"And bring me a maiden to help out."
"... but there is only me here."
And for the first time she stopped and actually looked at me, not just glancing at a stranger with the corner of her eyes, but really acknowledging my presence. Analyzing me head to toe, uncertain.
"It'll do." Concluded, and my face became as tinted as her drunken cheeks.
"R-right away, madam!"
I can't quite describe how such a petite girl could be so comfortable with bossing around, but she didn't flinch the slightest when undressing in front of her supposed servant. Nor did she when I rubbed her back and washed her long, longsome hair.
Instead, she just seemed to relax more and more as I took care of the cleaning, closing her eyes in the fumy bathtub. I couldn't tell mist from vapor by that stage, but the alcohol in the air was certainly being replaced by the soft smell of soap and shampoo.
