I chat a bit with that big Aussie faggot after his DJ set in Shibuya a couple years back (yeah he DJs too, he’s obsessed with all forms of artistic/entertainment expression)

He mentioned there was some tension and flirting that he refused to act on (he’s a crackhead but he’s professional at least) and that created a bit of drama.

He didn’t imply that was a major factor in his leaving the project, but extrapolating a bit I would guess there was a lot of blame being thrown around after he left and they nosedived in popularity.
