The penalty should not be there in the first place. It's redundant, with every option. No affection, they hate you and it's rape regardless. Yearning is harder, since that's where the penalty applies the most, and the girl will have possibly increased grind for other fall states. Love still gets a reduction and a buff, but at that point 1. favor gain does not matter in the first place, and 2. sex is either guaranteed to happen or really close to that state. Sex friend is already in the same boat, sex, the end goal for the route is by definition already possible, and I won't even bother mentioning lust.
It's pointless to work on this, it will take months of fucked up number before it's more or less balanced; which is square one, where we stand right now anyway.
I swear dude, drop the suggestion, focus on ANYTHING other than this.

Touhou is the kind of game you need to be calm to play, but that in addition to my hands twitching (not a nervousness problem, my hands are eternally like this) and having no tolerance for failure just does not make for a good experience. I swear I'll never be good at Touhou, this was only normal difficulty
