Touhou is the ultimate subjective and modern religion, think about it. A perfect afterlife, perfectly subjective and individualized, formed through surrealist imagination (unconscious direction with conscious correction) and internet co-operation (no other religion is so reliant on the internet), there is nothing objective one must do to get in, so no worrying about a random thought damning you to "hell" (unless you want to headcanon it that way), you are free to live life however you please, and your favorite 2hu(s) will still be there, waiting for you. We all get our very own paradise, with no strings attached. The only problem is, the question, "what if it's not real", which isn't as easily solved as it is for other religions. For Christianity, this is simple, seeing God, Heaven, and Hell as existing simultaneously in two states, as both literal truth and pure metaphor, this is the simple, clear, clean-cut answer that most could accept, but Touhou has no equivalent clean-cut answer. How would you live as if Gensokyo is both literal truth and pure metaphor? Living as if you're already there? Doesn't change that the 2hus aren't here, no matter how easy we take it. Excessive use of vivid fantasy? Doesn't change that it's all in the head until we get there, that Yukari hasn't spirited us away, doesn't change that there's no perfect Touhou fangame that perfectly simulates being in Gensokyo, without seams, holdups, discrepancies, imperfections, etc, and that even the most vivid imagination can only do so much without the fantasy being reality, doesn't fucking change that we still have problems, haven't been gifted with that carefree innocence of childhood and adolescence that'll be restored upon entering Gensokyo. I don't know the solution to this fucking conundrum. Did those of you who believe in going to Gensokyo already figure this out? Is that why I've never seen it discussed, anything like it? i have no shame, call me a pretentious pseud all you want

playing for about a decade here.
i've completed normal in every game with every shot type, EXCEPT LoLk which i only completed reisen. i've completed every extra stage EXCEPT LoLk.
christ LoLk is a hard game. even though i beat all of those games i still feel like a scrub for not even being able to complete Hard on UFO. i've completed Hard for a few other games. I'd say my favorite is TD and i'd reccomend it for newcomers or those in training.
my only good advice is focus on that reaction timing for death bombs. if you make it to stage 5 and lose those 8 bombs you were saving because you were trying to git gud it just burns my ass personally.
it's good to make it past stage 3 without bombing but after that i feel like you're being forced to bomb certain spells.
