Agree it falls apart a bit around the ending, but everything leading up to that is incredible. The one off characters have better motivations than goutoko ever did. Watching ''Mion'' reminisce about the club was genuinely nostalgic and wasn't pandering.

Its possible they turned it away since it wasn't directly connect like Saikoroshi, but its a shame they didn't make it into an OVA.
