You will never gonna see whole script in your first run(maybe ever, depends on you), gonna need dozens of them to collect all characters and read all their events, plenty of gameplay so you won't feel this long ass script as it is.

I just run .bat script to kill explorer.exe while my vn is running. Makes your whole desktop black. You can alt-tab, but alt-tabbing leaves retarded traces from minimized windows on your perfectly blank black desktop, so you don't want to touch alt-tab during reading session at all. It's pretty retarded, but it's the only way to make me read without distractions.
Much better than reading in full-screen, because nothing stops you from alt-tabbing in fullscreen. Switching to second desktop just makes me switch to my first desktop again and spend even more time scrolling instead of reading.

Other way is to read from your tablet/tv while holding gamepad in your hands, so you can't minimize vn window and scroll internet at all, but obviously you can't look shit up(unless you draw kanji/use radical search on your phone). I can read moeshit/nukige without looking anything up nowadays, but not plotge. But i tend to distract less while reading plotge either way.
