After he tried to swindle a rivaling yakuza family out of a large sum of money, Sonozaki Mion was sold out by her husband in secret as compensation in 1993.
Not much is known about the following months, but once she was found by the police Sonozaki Mion was not able to speak properly for multiple weeks due to heavy psychological trauma, her anus and bladder were dysfunctioning and required her to wear diapers from then on out and her body was burned and pierced in numerous places.
