I find the history of his efforts towards making touhou very inspiring. He has enough technical skill for sure, even at the start with PC98 which was during a time when development, music, and graphics were significantly harder plus independent developers had few references and resources. But even he didn't find success immediately. He maintained his determination and persisted in making games, always learning and improving along the way to make the next one better (most evident in PC98 era). He also kept going when he was wageslaving for Taito, and that's with Japanese work ethics.

I'm surprised no one mentioned yaise. His art style is really cute.
