Yes they do, as well as cheap, spartan interview rooms that a lot of the idols do their stupid games in, often against plain white walls. But I guess the money that they save allows them to be a little more daring and experimental with who the agencies/labels support and give chances to as an industry. There's a lower tier to the entertainment industry in Japan that doesn't exist elsewhere that gets support, and I'm glad that it exists. It keeps the ground fertile for new acts that need development time, and some of them blossom to become big acts.

I have a feeling if we really knew all the ins and outs of each gaku and their real personalities and who got along with/hated who, we'd be hella disillusioned with the whole thing and just consume whatever brew of Jew/nigger "entertainment" that was fed to us in the West.

Hinata is a very attractive girl with a flaw or two, which gives her the air of being approachable and attainable. THAT'S one of the key features of your classic idol. The purpose is to get you into a mindset that will hook you in emotionally, and once you are, you will be a follower/customer for years to come. The entire industry is largely built on this principle. She also has a quick wit and a fun personality, which is another reason that she's risen up in the industry as far as she has. She hasn't even peaked yet.
