"Hey, are you doing alright?"
>She looks up from her self-pity. It's the guy from the coffee stand across the way
"You've been looking pretty rough the last few days. Thought I'd bringing you something to cheer you up. On the house."
>He sets a steaming cup of coffee down in front of her
>She just stares between the guy and the cup for a moment, caught completely off-guard
"Girl as nice as you is probably used to way better, but I figure this'll at least keep you going."
>He looks back over his shoulder
"Ahh, crap. I gotta get back to the stand. Good luck!"
>He leaves, and for a moment she just sits there
>She picks up the coffee and takes a sip. It's cheap, but still pretty good
>The aroma and flavors melt away the stress that had been piling up, if only while the coffee lasts
