I empathize, but come on. It can simultaneously be fucking gay for mods to get involved (and usually is), but also that it being up for so long in the first place was also failing to enforce a policy of the site.

There is a blindingly clear the point of contention, and I feel like most replies are skirting around that point to such an extent that I feel obligated to make it plain:

Fact: More than a few anons in this thread desire post pictures of JKs and JCs, real life persons who could plausibly be under the age of 18, often involving voyeurism. Sure, not every image deleted may have met that mark, but most were well within that ballpark and don't go out of their way to clarify otherwise.

Fact: That content (and jailbait in general) is increasingly less tolerated on websites hosted in the West, which are increasingly pressured by hosts and advertisers being less and less likely to knowingly support such sites, even if the site wishes to maintain it.
Even Exhentai, which was 2D only apart from a small amount of seemingly 18+ cosplay, went down and then moved their servers to Moldova for similar reasons. And other sites just fold-in.

I hardly care about whether or not you like JK/JC personally, I've been in these threads as well without issue. You don't need to convince me, or those who actually disagree with you, or even the mods that it is should be allowed. Because they don't make the call. You really need to convince those who have the final say on the servers running, and even then they aren't where the buck stops entirely (if they don't want issues with regulatory/financial institutions, depending on locality).

In comparison, people on this board will happily be blatant about it if it is risque 2D, because that's less (not nonexistent, but less) of a liability to host in many countries outside of Japan, and mods just treat it like usual SFW/NSFW distinction most of the time. You can also argue that 2D lolicon is also under a similar pressure as jailbait, and I think there's a fair point there. But it's a question of degree.

I'm pretty sure what's going to happen is that it will be enforced somewhat consistently for weeks/months, then someone will slowly start introducing lewd JK/JC pictures into the thread again, and then get a prune again, ad infinitum, until a popular-enough alternative to 4chan takes root. I'm not encouraging it, it's just what anons have done, because 4chan is still the least restrictive website for it's size. And that doesn't speak of tyranny to me.

If a service I use risks significantly greater loss than me for not pissing in my cheerios, I can usually live with piss in my cheerios. If you can't, you'll probably want to use a different service.
I think that's an even-handed take.

People should be more confident in what works for them. I've seen too many people give up because they have too much faith in the /DJT/ methodology and believe that they can't do it. 4chan's inherent need to preserve power levels and bragging rights means that it's not quite as optimized and helpful as it potentially could be, even if the resources are fantastic and well constructed.

I'm sorry you don't know how I look so you felt the need to attack the image I posted on a whim to suffice, but my point isn't to look down on anybody.
