hello i am a 1960s otaku as well

it is common knowledge that pop culture peaked in 1962

it all went horribly wrong after then, when USA lost control of the status quo. and the nails hammered into the coffin after 1967. if you want to know what the 1960s equivalent of 'knowyourmeme' was then look no further than the 'psychedelia era'.

sure there was some good stuff too, but it was mostly the bad stuff that people remember today

and nobody even gives a second thought about anything from before 1965 unless it's trendy boring black jazz where they play inversions of an F7 chord for thirty minutes while a bass saxophone makes fart noises

by the way 1950s should be moved up by about 3 ranks on your list and 1930s 2 ranks up
