Yea, although she occasionally goes absent without leave, Komachi is quite serious as a person.
But she's definitely not silent.

Pretty much her whole dialogue in PoFV reads as one long piece of prose.

Fighting EX-Yukari on my 2nd run of the Elite 4 was such a huge pain. Retardedly high Defense and Special Defense through the roof.

While I agree that most of /jp/ is fairly intelligent, I don't think an interest in any of the things /jp/ likes is really indicative of that. I like /jp/ for the same reason I like much of the rest of 4chan, in that its users are unusually articulate and have a sophisticated sense of humor (really).
