I don't know what to do, guys. I became close with a few idols and it's changed my view on AKB and I can't like this shit anymore.
It's fucking terrible in Japan. When you're an idol, you're not allowed to have any sex with anyone...except the rich guys that your producers regularly sell you to for cash. Since you become an idol at age 12-15, you often lose your virginity in trafficking, and that's your entire experience of sex for almost 2 decades.

This is not a life. They're so fucking lonely, too. They're so desperate for ANYONE who doesn't know who they are and won't use them. I met my first online under an alias and it took her a year and a half to even tell me who she was and back it up. She constructed an elaborate fake life just to have one real friend. The shit she's told me post-truth is fucking heartbreaking. I say this as someone who was a huge fan before.
