He pointed out that ZUN's DMCA against his project shows that ZUN is a fraud for trying to portray himself as a bastion of doujin spirit.

Now contrast this with Nintendo who are known for being copyright trolls. They aren't going after people who reverse engineered Pokemon. Despite the fact that those old Pokemons are still bringing in revenue for them. ZUN is a bigger copyright troll than a large corporation. ZUN hasn't shut it down yet, so one can only speculate that ZUN might be waiting for the project to be complete so he can take the code and use it to sale a PC-98 collectors edition on steam.
