With Demons everyone always talks about the contracts, but the thing I find the most intriguing is their redemption.
The Demons were "created distinctly with malevolent intentions"; where most monsters in the past ages were literal NPCs, flesh automatons programmed to murder humans, Demons were actively and willfully malicious. It's said they embraced Druella's cause because they want to put the weak humans under their protection. The implication is that they want to protect humans out of some kind of race-wide guilt complex. I think it's a really interesting aspect that should be explored more.
