She looks too childish for me. Arc was always a more mature kind of beauty, an elegant lady in her mid-20s or so. Now she looks like a kid, and her eyes, which were very sharp and sometimes even sinister-looking, became generic as fuck.
This is a problem with the remake's art as a whole. It certainly became FAR more visually-appealing and technically-impressive than the original, but it also lost all of its character.
The original novel had amateur hour artwork (even by 1998's standards) that was full of soul, while this remake looks like it's going to be the most visually complex VN in the history of Japan, but utterly devoid of any edge or character that made the original what it was.
Frustrating stuff.
