god, I know that everyone hopes they will do E justice, and I hope they do too, but I also hope they don't fuck up Yorktown
Like, just making her a generic onee-san type gentle older sister just would not fit. Yorktown's character is 100% the archetypal big sister character that dies in act 1 as a badass. Less AL Yorktown, more Kamina.

>sees the way the japanese organize strike packages and learns from it
>takes damage and is declared dead
>gets repaired in 3 days from crippling damage
>is more skilled than her sisters at midway, E sends out a haphazard strike that wins through by luck, hornet never even gets a successful strike, yorktown alone had a good strike package
>has her famous duel with Hiryuu
>the japanese set her on fire, declare her dead
>send a torpedo strike, hit her, declare her dead
>limping back home, tells E to go ahead
>dies to a submarine after telling E she will be home fine, as a tragedy do
she really does read like a badass older sibling that dies at the end of act 1
