How do I explain this in simplest possible way?

I thought it was
>Lucia Rika -> transfer Rika's memories -> 1 try at Onidamashi fragment -> transfer Rika's memories -> 1 try at Watadamashi fragment -> 1 try at Tataridamashi fragment -> etc.
And reset from 1988 Rika's memories if Satoko fails her plans in any single fragment.

Instead it's
>Lucia Rika -> transfer Rika's memories -> infinite retries at Onidamashi fragment -> transfer Rika's memories from first successful fragment -> infinite retries at Watadamashi fragment -> etc.

I thought it was the first case, because some things could've been explained as Satoko's mistakes and unwillingness to reset everything. But instead she gets infinite retries at every step.

This way it's just so easy for Satoko and unfair for Rika in ways I didn't even imagine. Guess the sword shard really is the only hope.
