Koishi stands on the surface of the lake, looking down at the millions of skulls and arms beneath the solid water. Kokoro holds her hand, and together they watch the sword.

I watch from the top of one of the many monolith spikes that surround the lake, holding my arms as if feeling cold… I bite my lip, shifting my gaze to the margins of Douji's Basin—as it's being called—where dozens of oni flock to, touching the impossible-to-break water surface, marveling at the infinite skulls and outstretched arms and singing with pride about Yuugi's stand and the deal between Yukari and Douji, bringing to life that outrageous affront to nature in the middle of the lake, which is in the concerning process of turning into a sacred place for the Oni. The oldest onis say they can 'feel it' in the air; the younger generation thrills at their stories of grandeur and bloodbaths… Echoes of a mass Oni resurfacing and the imminent war that'll follow it—a war to retake Yatsugatake—Youkai Mountain—are abundant.

All because of that sword…

The sword that embodies ‘Ibaradouji's’ magic.

I hear footsteps, and I glance at Yuugi hopping on top of the spike, landing on my side. "Man… Dealing with those geezers is a pain sometimes." She sighs, arms in casts—still balancing that sake bowl of hers on top of the bandages. Hm, onis—upper body covered with a jacket hanging on by the shoulders, a frown possessing her face. "They are all antsy because your sister is stepping on sacred ground—so whiny, had to punch so many faces~" It carries tiredness yet is said with a contagious grin… Though it's short-lived. "She's still at it… You have to talk, Satorin. Things can't keep up like that."

I sigh. Yuugi is right… Not telling Koishi about the fact Yukari can manipulate the range of my power—and, therefore, hers—was cruel. She sought so thoroughly, so desperately, a way to silence the voices… resorting to mind-suicide. Things are steadily changing with the progress of her pregnancy, but that's beside the point—which is that I omitted what could've been her only other alternative to closing her third eye.

My heart bleeds, and the desire to turn back time is noxious… Yet I know that if I were to turn back to the day before she chose to change her life forever…

I still wouldn't tell her about Yukari.

… Yukari is a monster. What she did to Kasen, the things I saw in her mind, the nightmares, the pain…

A solution that costs so much is not a solution; it's just another hell—

I look at Koishi in the distance, and doubts easily arise. To not see her suffering, to maybe hit that corner of Yukari's heart not tainted by darkness—to do anything but silently watch…

My throat feels bogged, and Yuugi by my side pities my situation, and a gesture of affection is to come… I don't dodge it, and her bandaged hand petting my head is some respite from the devouring thoughts of recently. "She's your sister, Satori—if you tell the truth, she'll hear, she'll understand. But if you hide and keep watching from the back…"

"Nothing will change." I complete, hands closing and opening, my 3rd eye widening for a second as utter rage courses my blood… So much to think: 'Ibaradouji's sword' and it's effects on the oni population; Yukari and the other Gensokyan sage, Okina; my goddamn house in reparations; Orin and her idiotic plan to meddle with effects that shouldn't have been of our concern, though that changed the moment Koishi was found out to be pregnant… I let the rage cool down, body and mind iron. That’s when I’m at my best.

I can't wait idly anymore.

Things are changing fast, and Kasen is alone dealing with Yukari; Koishi may be in danger no matter what I do…

"Yuugi."

She glances at me, and her mind carries the same fire as mine. A fire to go against this tidal wave of a tyrant that thinks she can always get things her way, change the world, and implant limbs of cruelty like that sword of sin and feel like she’s doing no wrong. To kill en masse and not bat an eye…

"… I want to fight Yukari. Rip her influence away from my kingdom, restore it to its peacefulness, and destroy the shadow that looms over Koishi and the father of her children…" I remember words whispered before the death of consciousness, a puppet taking its place. "I want to help Kasen."

Yuugi stared at me… Then, a wide smile took over her battered face, determined and ready to battle as if her body wasn't broken. "Ho~? Took you a while, Satorin! Wanna join me and Suika in freeing our sister and a wronged human? The more, the merrier! HAHA!"

I devilishly smile. Orin was already on it, and Okuu will tag along for the battle alone. Truly, I'll still have to talk to my dear sister and clarify things—despite how much it hurts me what may become of our relationship—but it won't be beneath a thumb…

Rather, the same way when I was flying by Kasen's side, telling her Yukari’s mortal sins: at peace with my fate.

"Do you really need to ask?" I reply to the question.

Yuugi laughs even louder.

I wish Yuugi was my big sister
