Satori 2

--
The rumbling of the elevator and the buzzing of its fluorescent lights were strangely calming and energizing to Satori as she traveled downwards to the reactor, or that could have been the anti-headache she took early and the coffee she had in hand.

She was uncertain if the deal with the Moriyas was worth it, but the reactor had provided ample power to former hell, and the Moriyas had benefited less from it; they didn’t need the power as much as Satori and former hell needed it, electric lights, heating, machinery. The reactor had become a necessary factor in the life of the residents of former hell.

Satori did not even need to manage it, Okuu handled the reactor herself and if any problems arose with who used the energy it could swiftly be cut off due to the control Satori and the Earth Spirit Palace had over it.

Okuu herself was her own problem, so Satori mostly left her alone. As long as Okuu was within the reactor itself and not on the catwalks around the reactor which Satori was rapidly approaching, and questioned Okuu through the intercom she should be fine. It’s not like Okuu possessed the capacity for lying.

Satori smiled, holding her magnifying glass in her hand as she adjusted her hat. This would be the easy part, but if she couldn’t find any information about Orin here she’d have to organize a proper search.

That was until the elevator door opened revealing Okuu, with the dim, nearly blank expression she almost always wore. Satori’s legs bent.

Gazing into Okuu’s mind she felt her headache grow, her mind was stuffed to the brim, clogged with nuclear physics and the requisite information for her sun god powers to function. Nearly everything else was pushed to the wayside and almost immediately forgotten. Although it wasn’t as though she lacked space, any mind has practically unlimited space as long as it had enough fuel and time to adapt, but suddenly integrating parts of Yatagarasu into her being had done nearly irrevocable damage, it’d take her centuries for her mind to return to normalcy and a millennium for her to master her powers.

Satori’s mind bent under the strain and her headache returned, she grabbed at her detective cap trying to shield her eyes from the blazing blue light of the cavern which only aggravated her headache.

“Ma’am? Satori-sama?” Okuu asked, flying closer to Satori as her master's knees wobbled, Satori dropped her spyglass as she moved her third eye behind her and tried to distract herself from Okuu’s thoughts, thinking of her sister always helped.

“Orin… Where is she?” Satori struggled to say, her voice weak and strained, she should’ve woken Kokoro when she had the chance, she cursed the Moriya’s in her head as the drumming against her skull grew louder.

“OH, Orin! Yeah, she’s around here.” Okuu spoke as she grabbed Satori, taking her into a princess carry, flying upwards to a different section of the catwalk that lined the outside of the reactor. “She’s been spending a lot of time here recently, she has such nice friends as well, it’s always nice to meet new people.” Okuu continued on, oblivious to Satori’s suffering.

“Orin! Satori’s here to see you.” Okuu called, yelling with a voice so loud while her head was so close to Satori that it sounded like the clap of thunder to her. While the beat of Okuu’s wings was like crashing waves.

“Okuu! What are you doing!” Orin screamed, Satori flinched at the sound of the cat's screams, she could hear the shuffling of other feet, there were more people there than the three of them. She moved herself, and positioned her third eye forward and away from Okuu, removing the cap that covered her normal eyes.

Open animal and Oni minds greeted her psychic gaze, she was surprised for a moment, the idiocy of their plan overcoming her headache, this couldn’t be allowed, even with Koishi and Kokoro former hell could not afford to aggress Yukari or Gensokyo.

She tried to speak up in protest, or anger, but her headache returned stronger than before. “Satori-Sama!” Distantly she could hear Orin call out to her as everything faded to black.

A cliffhanger, but leaving it here might be for the best as another writer can either exclude or include Okuu or Orin as they want, either Satori doesn't wake up in time for her to stop them or she doesn't.
Of course that's assuming it's kept as cannon, I've already given my case for why some of my stories should be excluded, but I'll leave that to whoever makes the next thread.
I'll wait until people start asking for inputs on the ending to post anything story related, although whatever I post probably won't be chapters.
