What is the latest version of the game? I tried updating my game but it still says it's in the same version

Looking to upgrade my SVSE5 (base version), what are some upgrades you guys recommend for it? The base push buttons on it haven't aged well, so I want to get a more arcade-y feel.

I'm keeping it sealed in its original plastic wrap and box behind some books in my bookshelf at the moment. Should I leave an open hole in the plastic wrap?
