According to Umineko, Featherine helmet was damaged at one point, and Hanyuu was born, but they are basically completely different. Hanyuu was once a human chick who died and became Hinamizawa local God.

Bern creation was a side-effect of Kakera's jumping.

Lambda existed before Higurashi and made Tanako's will "fate" as soon her will didn't wander.

I wouldn't read too much about Higurashi/Umineko comparison.

Higurashi is a story of the present. Rika jumps fragment, and you can read every fragment as a "gameboard". Also magic exists in Higurashi.

Bern doesn't even play once until the very end in which she gathers her best fragment together for the "best world possible for Rika to win".

Umineko is more like, Rokkenjima prime happened, Yasu dies, she goes in purgatory because of 34 powers and every gameboard is a fragment/story depending on how you read it, although ultimately subsidiary to Rokkenjima prime. In every fragment everyone dies but Rokkenjima's prime, so no one knows what the fuck happened.
